The 2nd Battalion 503rd PIR, is an active duty assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The unit was originally constituted March 14, 1941, as Company B, 503rd Parachute Battalion. It conducted the first combat jump in U.S. history from C-47 aircraft and dropped the battalion into Algeria. The 2-503 was nicknamed "The Rock" for their tough paratroopers and we are glad to pay homage with this remastered design.
